HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
We have been photographing weddings professionally for 9 years. It is awesome to look back on where we came from + how we can utilize all the knowledge we now have about photography + the wedding industry.
DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY SERVICES?
We love offering videography services alongside our photography packages!! Bundling these services not only saves you time but also allows for your photos + video to match aesthetically, Communication for each service to be streamlined, as well as more ease and convenience day of to have one main creative director.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED? DO YOU TRAVEL?
Currently based in Louisville, KY and frequently in Denver, CO. These are our hubs and only charge for traveling outside of these cities. Traveling for work has taken us to many amazing places, Maui, Moab, Guatemala, Aspen, etc. While we are open to travel wherever you would like, we also are happy to have our couples come to us!
WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
While I have a rough turnaround time for my work, timing can slightly vary depending on my travel schedule + seasonal work load. In general, portrait shoot turnaround time is around 2-3 weeks and wedding turnaround time is typically between 4-6 weeks. We know how excited you are to see these and would HATE for you to have to wait any longer than you have to!!!
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
Portrait shoots will be rescheduled if we find the conditions unideal. This would include thunderstorms + torrential downpours.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
Our wedding clients receive around 100 images per hour of coverage from their wedding day. It may be a few more or a few less, depending on your wedding timeframe, as well as how many guests and details are present. If you are eloping, a good general rule of thumb would be around 100 images per hour.
DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?
Of course! We offer beautiful handcrafted, locally made genuine leather flush-mount albums. Our albums are timeless and made to stand the test of time in order to be successfully passed down to future generations. These are made with a lay-flat binding, fuji-crystal archive paper, with a micro-fold page crease for a super tiny crease and have a variety of classic cover options in genuine Italian grade leathers, silk fabrics and natural linens.
ARE ALL OF OUR IMAGES EDITED?
Each and every image is edited with care, so they are ready to be printed upon delivery with your print release. Extra, more detailed touch-ups can be requested and will be charged for separately per hour.
CAN WE ORDER PROFESSIONAL QUALITY PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
Yes! You will be able to order professional prints through the beautiful, simple and easy-to-use proofing gallery we create for you after all of your photos have been edited. Both you and your guests will be able to view each image captured, as well as order professional products.
IF THINGS CHANGE, CAN I ADD ON HOURS OR A SECOND SHOOTER TO MY PACKAGE?
We allow you can add on both additional hours of coverage and/or a second shooter at any point in time before the wedding. The sooner we know the better to guarantee availability.
WILL ANY OF OUR PHOTOS BE BLACK AND WHITE?
While the majority of your photos will be solely in color. We love going through and editing a number of our favorite images we know would look amazing in black and white to give to you alongside the originals.
CAN WE POST OUR PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Of course!! We absolutely want you to share your images with the rest of the world! The only thing we ask is that you not add any filters to your images that would change our look/style, as well as tag Love Hunters to give us photo credit in any posts you make. Helping spread the word about us will hopefully lead to more amazing clients like yourself to book with us!!
HOW DO I SECURE MY WEDDING DATE?
We need a 50% retainer fee and a signed contract in order for you to successfully secure us for your date! Your retainer fee will go toward your total package cost. Be sure to contact us as early as possible, our calendar can fill up quickly! Although, never be afraid to reach out about your date! We book anywhere from a year to just weeks before!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
I always tell couples to coordinate colors, but avoid being to "matchy-matchy". Make sure you wear clothes that fit you appropriately and are not to snug or too big. Feel free to bring layers. Flowy outfits photograph are fun and will help add movement to your images. Avoid logos and patterns that are eyesores. You have the choice to wear one or two outfits. We never want you to force another outfit if you don't love both. We sometimes recommend our ladies have their make-up + hair professionally done. But if you aren’t a huge make up person, this idea might not be for you.

Right when my husband popped the question, I knew without a doubt who I wanted to capture our day. I had been following Love Hunters for quite some time at that point. I have always loved her ability to find the perfect balance between traditional wedding photos and modern shots that are personal only to the couple. I immediately secured her for photography, but was hesitant with videography. In my mind at the time, it seemed like an extra perk and we didn’t have room in our budget for extras. As time got closer to the wedding, I came across a wedding video that made me begin to regret my decision to not add videography. After much deliberation, we secured Susan and her husband, Kevin, to shoot video as well. The day was perfect to say the least, but went by immediately. To say it was a blur would be an understatement.
We received our photos first, our expectations were greatly exceeded. Susan captured our day (while very pregnant I might add) perfectly. Each shot was well thought with us in mind and she got every detail I spent many restless nights worrying about. Even at the end when I was ready to eat, she pushed us to just get a couple more…those photos are by far my favorite and are currently hung up right next to me. So after being so incredibly happy with our photos, married life started and we only revisited our day every now and again with happy stories and instagram scrolling.
While celebrating another month down, we received our video. This video completely left my husband and I speechless. Many tears were shed as we listened to my sister tell our love story as our day unfolded right in front of us. We were able to relive our perfect day, see our family smiling, friends dancing-we were immediately taken back to the best day of our life. Our video passed expectations I didn’t even know I had. Our video will be there during the happy moments, hard times and all of the in between days in our marriage. I cannot wait to show our children, grandchildren and great grand children how much love there was on the day of October 5th, 2019.
For all those that are questioning adding on videography, believe me I was there. I never really got into other wedding videos, and only until after seeing ours, it became clear that our love story is only ours, just like our timeless video. So when considering if this extra perk is worth the money, keep in mind that you’ll quickly learn it’s not a perk, it’s up there with venue, dress, and booze-it’s essential. And when you are considering Love Hunters, I would 100% recommend, absolutely no question-she is one of the best in the business.
The vendors my daughter and son-in-law chose for their wedding were outstanding, but the most impactful was their choice of Love Hunters as their wedding photographers.
Susan took the time, at the engagement photo session, to get to know Rachel and Lucas. Because of that effort, the chronicling of the wedding captures their personalities, as a couple, and as individuals.
Susan respected the couples desire to have fewer formal pictures, while having enough to satisfy the parents-a true balancing act. From the details of the flowers, to the huge group shot of each side of the new family, with so many candids in between, Susan and Sam preserved the day for us to enjoy forever.
Our only regret was failing to have a videographer. In hindsight, the extra that we would have spent, was not much, for the return of having another view of the day.
Hopefully, we’ll have a chance to correct that omission the next time we have a family wedding. Can’t wait to use the services of Love Hunters again!
I don't know where to start with how wonderful our experience with Love Hunters has been. Working with Susan, Sam, and Kevin was so fun and personable and we couldn't have asked for anything better. In my initial conversation with Susan, I immediately knew I wanted to hire her as our wedding photographer. She was so easy to talk to and understood what I was looking for.
The day of our wedding couldn't have been more perfect, and Susan and her team at Love Hunters were a big part of how great our day turned out. Not only were they professional and made sure we kept on schedule and got all the photos we wanted, but they were so fun to hang out with. Several members of the bridal party mentioned to me how great they thought Love Hunters was and were impressed.
Now that we have our wedding photos back, I cannot thank Susan, Sam, Kevin and Love Hunters enough for capturing the beauty of our day perfectly. The pictures are stunning and I can't stop looking at them. When we got our wedding video back and I watched it 8 times in a row, no joke! The music is stunning. The edits are perfect. The moments captured are unforgettable. I get emotional watching it still, months later. It is the perfect combination of pre-wedding, ceremony, and post-wedding footage. The special moments and emotions of the day were captured perfectly - laughs, happy tears, love - it's all there for us to re-live. Our friends/family love our wedding video too and have all positive things to say. Picking Love Hunters to capture our wedding photos AND wedding video was 100% the perfect decision for us. We were so lucky to have Susan as our wedding photographer. She has an incredible eye and captures the most stunning, natural images while also bringing on the small, beautiful details not everyone would notice. She focuses on who you are as a couple and brings out the unique elements of your love. Susan is wonderful to work with. WOW -- Thats the word I use to describe my experience with the Love Hunters team. After viewing Love Hunters work on Instagram, I knew they were the photographers for us. The moodiness of the photos were exactly what we were looking for! Susan worked with our awkwardness and crazy dogs to create BEAUTIFUL photos for us. Fast forward to our wedding day. The craziness began, but Susan started work, pretty much without me knowing to be honest, and I loved that. It was not until later that day that I met her work partner Sam--he spent the morning with the boys, and bless him for that. My husband is not very chatty and does not enjoy pictures, but he was able to make a fun environment to get some great shots! Susan & Sam are a well oiled machine. They made sure we got time to eat dinner (thank goodness because I get hangry so fast) and got amazing shots just the 2 of us after the ceremony without disturbing the vibe of the wedding. After the wedding/honeymoon hype wore down, we received our photos and flash drive in the mail in the chicest way! We are forever thankful for Love Hunters and they will be apart of our lives for many years to come! With my husband and I expecting our first child, we are already in the works of booking Love Hunters for the maternity shoot! It would be silly to book anyone else!
SUSAN IS THE BEST! She photographed our engagement and wedding photos. Let’s face it, we’re awkward and from the photos you would never know it. She tweaks everything during and you know she is making us look beautiful. Stunning! She is so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable! We even brought our super weird 220# English mastiff to our engagement photos and I could just cry at how gorgeous they turned out!
